I’m Daniel Huterer Prats, a PhD researcher in aerospace engineering at CU Boulder, advised by Hanspeter Schaub. I work on autonomous spacecraft imaging and scheduling at the Autonomous Vehicle Systems Lab.
I was born in Italy, grew up in Austria, and finished high school in Saudi Arabia. I studied Physics and Mathematics at NYU Abu Dhabi, including a semester in New York, before completing a master’s in Aerospace Science and Technology at UPC in Barcelona.
Before moving to Colorado in 2024, I worked in Toulouse as an aerospace consultant at ALTEN and a systems engineer at Infinite Orbits. In Boulder, I also worked on maneuver simulations for the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt at LASP.
Away from research, I play football, spend time outdoors, and scuba dive. I’ve played football since childhood in Austria, through school in Saudi Arabia and as a student-athlete at NYU Abu Dhabi. These days, I still look forward to weekend pick-up games.
